Cant get apex to spawn

Tried turning it to night. checking the snakes location. NOTHING. all other mobs change but not the damn snake =[

I just did that. Didnt work. DO i have to be a certain level above the slitherfang to spawn the apex variant? im 27. slithers are 28

Apex spawn constantly for me.

We can't say for sure what specific conditions are tripping you up, nor can we say for sure that you aren't encountering a flat-out bug. What we can say is that many people are getting Apex to spawn, and that the general steps of "load a save while far away, wait until night, then try to find one" are the steps that people use to reliably get an Apex.

I'm sorry this particular thing is causing you problems. I agree that it can be very frustrating because of how opaque it is. I hope you are able to get it to start working for you.

level of the player probably is also taken into the account

IT was my level. I was too low. As soon as i leveled up. They spawned everywhere.
