Game could use some Colour, Looking Washed out
Anyone else having an issue with game really needing some vibrant colour as its still looking washed out, over bright and pale. Im running a GTX 1080Ti on Drv. 551.86.

I know the last patch notes said about correcting a washed out over bright image when using HDR, but the game could still use a bit more vibrant colour. Ive adjusted the HDR settings in the Display options so I can sort out the Shadows, contrast and Brightness, but colour is needed.

It some scenes it’s good. In other scenes it looks faded and washed out and has a “burnt” look if you know what I mean. I think it may be part of their color grading intended to make different have different looks. Similar to how Starfield also used different LUTS that changed the color/tint and raised black levels and made the entire image look more gray and washed out. For Starfield they ended up making new LUT mods that reduced or removed the effects to improve visuals. I’d assume we’d need something similar here. Or just learn to cope. Haha.

I have an OLED HDR monitor and I think the game can be TOO ViBRANT at times. Maybe that's just a matter of perspective as I personally prefer more realistic color grading as opposed to the usual high contrast high vibrancy that most games tend to go for. My monitor is calibrated as close to perfect as it can be so, on my end the game has moments of beautiful realism to over the top cartoony vibrancy - day/night cycle contibuting greatly to this. There are multiple bioms in the game and I think the devs maybe just went nuts with the color grading to make each area "appear" unique. *shugs*

HDR is very hit or miss, tbh. The game by default looks beautiful and plenty colorful.

That´s what ReShade is for. Was the first thing i installed. Like i do in 99% of SP Games.

Yeah, the fog looks like puke. Plenty of reshading mods out there.

I don't think you've been to one of the jungle areas at night. The colors POP.

Ive actually just entered the FW.. Im doing Kerufs Salvage quests atm.. but ive also got this on PS5 and it looks way over colourful cartoony on that and Samsung 55" Frame TV. I know the PS5 can be over vibrant on a 4K TV.

My PC is powering a 32" LG 16;9 monitor @ 1440p and under HDR, it can look ropey and washed out, even after tuning the colours through the nVidia Control panel, but FW looks awful.

Thanks for the Reshader tips.. I did read somewhere theres a few on NexusMods, ill have a look at them, however, Not that Im in the habit of wasting my money on having the same games on multiple platforms, but Days Gone, Hogwarts Legacy and Witcher 3 PS5 games all look fine on PC.
