and it's two years old, not three
The game is £50 here in the UK, when it released on the PS4 it was £60 and on the PS5 it was £70.
You do realise that Sony didn't just put a PS5 disk in their magic porting PC, and 3D print a PC port, it took an entire company and hundreds if not thousands of people 3 years to port it over. How would you suggest Sony pay their wages?
Both of the listings for ps4/5 are standard editions and don't include the dlc which is normally priced at $19.99 (currently on sale for 12.99)
Also worth noting the game is included in their PS plus extra catalog.
The Steam version is the complete edition for $59.99 which is the same price as the normal price for the ps5.
Okay fair I was looking at the base game prices. I didn't not know it was only a complete edition. Fun fact PSN is selling the complete edition on PS5 for 52$ until the exact day steam releases it.
it's new on pc, that's how it is
Thats an incredibly dumb point. They had no problem porting it from PS4 to PS5 that they literally give the upgrade away for free. Should all games upsell ports because working on a game is hard to do?
Maybe mmos like wow or xiv should add an extra 5$ to their subscription fees because your technically getting more content this month then you got last month.
Should games demand you pay for content updates and patches because maintenance isn't free either?
very bad precedent to set.
Well they benefit from the fact that they have an entire new audience of gamers to sell to, essentially refreshing the initial burst of income as if they dropped the game for the first time. So we really shouldn't act like this is a selfless act and the poor employees won't have their wages, they're about to reap the spoils of a 2 and a half year old game as though it was brand new for us and make bank.
that or wait for sale
exactly its coming with the addon for a lower price they had to pay on console without the addon thats kinda fair.
PS4 version of Horizon Forbidden West used to cost $60 and the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West was around $70 once again no addon, think about it we pay the oldgen price so its definitely fair.
