Can someone please help explain weapon coils uses. Now the arrows show mainly damage, tear, frost, fire and etc. Now in weapons Perks it will show critical hits, drawstrength ,distance. When I add in a tear coil of 10% the number in the tear column will increase by 10%. But if I add in a critical hit coil no increase in numbers will show up. If the critical hit perk is 25% and i add in a critical hit coil of 10% it doesn't show a added number of 35% to critical hit in perks. Are the perk coils actually added in but you don't see them increase? Thanks

Bonuses from coils are not shown in the list of bonuses from weapon perks, but they do increase the damage / crit chance / crit damage / instant brittle chance / whatever.
Also coils that have specific requirements (for example +damage only while sliding/jumping) will not change the number on the weapon while looking at it in your inventory, but they do work.
Weapons have built-in crit chances and also different crit damage multipliers based on their weapon class and in addition to values added by built-in perks and given by coils you may add. You can look them up in the tutorial section of the menu. It's like a little encyclopedia.

Tear has two different coils: Tear and Component Tear. A Hunter bow is better off with the latter as you usually do not try to remove armor plates with it because Tear Precision Arrows from a Sharpshot Bow are much better at doing this.

Another stat that isn't shown is Knockdown Power. It's unaffected by difficulty and has fixed values depending on the ammo type. The only thing you really need to know is that Knockdown Arrows are bad but Drillspikes are very good. Just remember to aim for the legs.
