Force x16 anisotropic filtering through the driver
Massive visual difference. Devs didn't apply aniso filtering to some textures properly. For example, white lines on sunwing's wings get blurred at angle. Driver applies the filtering to all surfaces.

Really? I never noticed but so far the AF filtering works fine. Perhaps it is a driver issue or specific gpu related?

Check by yourself. PS5 version also has poor AF judging by screenshots

It runs on x8 but PS5 cannot be changed. Since the release of ps4 every game runs on AF x8 for some reason. This reminds me of that unpatched GTAV bug where to make AFx16 work you had to set it to any other value then x16 again. Just tested and mine works as intended.

Do the lines on your sunwing look slightly blurred at an angle with ingame x16?

Not at all no. Checked my own graphics control panel to look for any global config override or per game. All default. Looks ok here, AMD card.

Can you post a pic please? Mine looks like this and it's always been like that across 2 windows installations and 2 GPUs + over 3 driver versions:

https://imgur.com/a/OyGqrJv I think is just the way textures are. This engine is F-up in every single way, maybe it is a lodbias mipmaps thing dunno. I woudlnt take it as a game-breaking feature, there are some other important fixes such as being softlocked on cauldron kappa, the +30fps bug which makes traps useless. The audio bug which you have to switch outpit and mix settings back and forth else volume drops down. etc. Poor quality assets in general despite level of detail and textures both set to high.

In my case textures looks significantly better with nvidia AF instead of ingame AF. What +30fps & audio bugs are you talking about? Audio is compressed and poorly adjusted volume, but switching output in the settings has no effect on this.

there are several posts here of people complaining about traps not dealing any damage unless the game is running at 30fps (im not much of a trap type anyway so) but the audio yes, music plays louder than the actual ingame volume, and switching any preset back to stereo + tv fixes the problem. not the end of the world but you have to do it each time booting up the game

In my case sound effects play loud while most of the music and voices are much quieter, sometimes almost inaudible. No idea about the traps as I don't use them
i checked, no problem here, 4k ultra

yeah, 16k here, RTX7090 Super runs fine 60fps with Multiframe generation on x20............

you know.... resolution has nothing to do with anisotropic right? AA yes, but anisotropic? nope.
