ACTUAL Burning Shores system requirements
Does anyone actually know what the heck the system requirements are for Burning Shores? I just jumped into Burning Shores after almost 100% the main game only to find out I can't even damn run it.

My GPU is pegged at 99% at 20FPS (6650XT) just standing still in the first DLC fight. The flight cutscene to there was a choppy 10FPS at best.

I keep finding that the system requirements for this are a 3060 which is, from the benchmarks I just found, pretty much identical to the 6650XT depending on the game even with the 3060 12GB.

So what the hell? Is my system borked up somehow? And how the hell is a "i7-4770K or AMD equivalent" RECOMMENDED for this game? That's a damn ancient CPU. https://ensigame.com/games/horizon-forbidden-west-burning-shores/system-requirements
The steam one of i5-8600 is closer to reality but still hella underpowered considering that even my CPU struggles sometimes (R5 5500).

Has anyone figured out what the actual requirements of playing this are? I need to know if it's worth it to sell off and replace one of my parts for Burning Shores. It's incredibly hard to find any info about this game for some reason, as if nobody's playing it.

Full specs for reference if anyone is so kind as to respond:
AMD Sapphire 6650XT
AMD R5 5500
16GB DDR4 Vengeance @ 2666MHz
ASRock B550M-HDV
Super Flower Leadex III Gold
Installed on Crucial P3 M.2 gen 4 no DRAM with 50GB free on it
Temps are in the 70's

I found my issue. From another one of my posts on a different thread (TL;DR clear AMD shader cache and try just re-saving your BIOS settings):

Now I'm just hella confused.

I realised that AMD Expo was off so I went and turned it on and the SAME exact scene by save, which gave me 10-20FPS before. That scene was a solid 60FPS now.
I cleared shader caches after that too thinking something is borked and that's why I'm getting more fps now but no...still solid 60fps.
Back out of windows I turn AMD Expo off again, start the game, same scene, still 60FPS.
Clear AMD caches again and same, still 60fps (capped by the way).
I checked the normal area of the game and again, same result. Solid 60fps even when flying around.

I don't understand this. I changed everything I did back but somehow my FPS is rock solid now...There must have been something wrong with my AMD shader caches or something.
Not just an AMD issue - I have an Nvidia 3080TI and my framerate in the base game with darn near max graphics settings at 3440X1440 was 80-100FPS, but in burning shores some areas struggle to hit 60. Its rough.

Yea this port was somehow even more annoying than the texture loading/unloading of zero dawn.
To be completely clear my FPS is pretty much 90% back in burning shores compared to the main game which is fine by me. But the cutscenes still ♥♥♥♥ my game to no end. I don't understand how cutscenes can be this damn horrible.
Every day I played the game without getting cutscenes it ran perfect, and as soon as I get a cutscene I have to restart. Abysmal.

You should be able to get your FPS back as well but I have no idea what I did to fix mine.

get yourself this: https://www.nexusmods.com/horizonforbiddenwest/mods/100 and disable SAM (Smart Access Memory or Resizable BAR) see if you can find a way to manually ignore HFW rather than cutting it down for every single game, this is likely your solution. SAM somehow for this game (actually this game not sam) will try to use like 400mb of VRAM and this is where it all goes to hell.

When the ♥♥♥♥ did I say that I don't know what I'm doing? What I don't know is why this game acts a fool even though games that look and play almost identically or better run at way better FPS and stability, like Cyberpunk 2077.
If you're allergic to experimentation block me or something. I'm not a wussy to not be willing to mess with some checkboxes to make my ♥♥♥♥ run better.

I actually had SAM and rebar off for most of my playthrough, into burning shores too, but I still had the same symptoms. Turning them on changed nothing it seems, neither towards the positive or negative.
