NG+ Best weapons to use at high difficulty levels?

I went after the new leg weapons and have found I'm not that impressed with some compared to their prior versions.

I like Tears of the Land God as my basic Hunter Bow for cheap damage and tear. Starting to use it as my lure for my mount now I can get the clawstrider (except it doesn't work on a passive mount :( ).

Forgefall still seems the better choice over Iriv's downfall. I wanted to use it for the Tear arrows ... but it is slow as heck and doesn't seem to deliver.

Given I frequently use Cold + Impact ... I'm not appreciating it over Forgefall.

Sun Scourge is my Go to for elemental - I don't have a good lightning bow.

The Skyukiller is a good spear and I think Defiance will be better again once I upgrade it.
I'm starting to use spears more and realise they do stack up decent damage.

Boltblasters.... Brawlbreaker seems good once I really boost reload speed. This weapon type gets you killed with the damned reload far too often so it has to be sped up a lot.
Explosive bolts are a good tool on the elite melee Rebels. Also nice backup in general for shellsnappers and such.

Zenith railgun is also funny for headshots.

A lot of people on reddit etc tout Iriv' particularly as the go to for sharpshot. Why?

What are you using in scenarios against heavy boss type mobs vs the general herds?

Some hits kill me outright or super close to even with my armour using full defensive coils so I'm being cautious and as many fights as possible I take from elevated positions and long range.

For over 80% of my UH NG run I didn't even have any legendary tier weapons to use... the first one I got was the Sun Scourge for defeating Asera but I havent upgraded it more than once I think. The remaining weapons are all end game when you are almost done with the story.

Did you get the Death Seeker Shadow? That is a legendary weapon with advanced shock hunter arrows... you have to grind the arena for that.

No I despise the arena so no bow :P

I shall go give it a run and get the tokens.
