you may be able to just play the first game and watch a recap for first game on YT.

If you go directly into the second game, couple of things will happen:
1. The first game will never feel as great as it would if it were your first game (because the 2nd game starts where the first one ended, so it 'spoils' everything),
2. You will not know who half the characters that recognize you are.
The recap in HFW is very breif and pretty much useless for a newcomer.
Quite an interesting definition of "everyone".
I didnt notice the lack of tutorials. But the game does want you to experiment which is fun. all the weapon techniques are pretty overpowered if your playing below hard difficulty.
