Worth buying the first, second, or both?
Haven't played either. Any of them worth getting if not both?

Think the second one would possibly be cheaper by the time i finish the first?

you may be able to just play the first game and watch a recap for first game on YT.

I just bought the 2nd one. There is a very small recap when starting up the game. But for the full recap u should watch a youtube video

The first game is fantastic. If you don't know the story yet, it will probably put you in awe.

If you go directly into the second game, couple of things will happen:
1. The first game will never feel as great as it would if it were your first game (because the 2nd game starts where the first one ended, so it 'spoils' everything),
2. You will not know who half the characters that recognize you are.

I love both games, but yeah this is one series where you should play the first one first.

Def HZD. Much better story with proper narrative, much smoother gameflow, less grind.

The recap in HFW is very breif and pretty much useless for a newcomer.

Play the first one then the second, if only to get the full story. The recaps they give are not close to sufficient.

Pay close attention to the fact that everyone who owns HFW has recommended it.

So, two people... out of six... including you...
Quite an interesting definition of "everyone".

buy Zero Dawn, this one is much worse. also, even if you WILL get this one,g et the first one - much better experience and actually teaches you mechanics.

I didnt notice the lack of tutorials. But the game does want you to experiment which is fun. all the weapon techniques are pretty overpowered if your playing below hard difficulty.

First is ok, didnt enjoyed that much. Forbidden west is much better, i enjoyed the game but it feels bloated and overwhelming and after finishing i just didnt felt the interest to start burning shores or continue with the sidequests.
