Performance Issues in Burning Shores DLC
I've really been enjoying the game as of late, but when I got to the DLC, I noticed a huge performance drop in the DLC compared to the rest of the game. I've linked a quick video demonstrating my issue on Steam Deck, but I may make a more detailed one if it persists and people are curious. The stuttering also happens on PC for me, although to a lesser extent. Has anybody else noticed this issue?

I created a post talking of this very DLC issue and was laughed at by trolls... Hate to say "I told you so"

I9- 9900K up to 5GHZ
RTX 3070
16GB RAM XMP on
1440p
HAGS on
970 evo plus 500GB + 1TB

Burning Shores DLC is terrible optimized or there are some other issues.
In Main Area at some Cities is also a bit laggy
Can´t set the High preset Textures cause it´s way more stuttering in some high Density areas

The DLC is running worse than the base game for me aswell. Constant 144fps @1440p with a 4080 with DLSS quality (except in some cutscenes), 80-100 fps in the DLC.

The DLC area does not even look much better if any than the base game, but the performance is for sure worse, and i have seen multiple reports about this already here and there.

Its not even hitting 100% cpu/gpu or close, it looks like something is creating some delays in rendering/main loop and cpu/gpu can't be 100% utilized so cpu/gpu needs to wait for something instead of doing the work.

Burning Shores is definitely more demanding. My fps is good enough but cpu- and case fans ramp up more often than than they do in the base game.
It seems like some people forget that this runs best on a system with a 5700XT and a Ryzen 3700x with 16gb of shared ram aka a PS5. People so focused on memory should remember that the 30 series defeated the RDNA2 with less vram at higher res's.
A better than average launch lately, but I am so sick of games not being able to make it over the PS5 hump.
The biggest newest feature of the dlc was the volumetric clouds that you can fly into. Try knocking the cloud setting down a notch or two for the dlc.
Seems some of advice on here is correct. im on an rtx4070 and knocked clouds down to med and textures to high. still slightly framey here n there much more playable. Also running dlss 3.7 also.
Still hoping some update will come soon as its spoiling the end of the game for me.

No memory leaks here on my 3090 playing for a few hours at a time. I did have to turn on DRS for the DLC though as I was dipping below 60FPS at 4K which got me up to 85 or so.

The DLC is just more resource intensive than the base game.
Had trouble the first time I went to the Burning Shores location, it was running like crap, but the second time I launched the game, somehow the issue solved itself and had smooth performance (55-60fps at 1440p, everything max, dlss quality and fsr framegen) throughout all the dlc, including the impressive final battle.
