Aloy is one of the best video game characters ever made

IDK about best ever, but she's definitely making the game much more appealing.
I remember seeing first promo materials for HZD:
"Red haired girl with a bow riding a robot dinosaur?"

I think they lost a bit of her charm when the running gag from the first game where someone proposes to her (either serious marriage or a casual hookup) and her reaction ranges from "Um. What are you talking about?" to "Dude, I haven't done this before and I don't intend to start any time soon" suddenly veers off into "oh, she's falling in lesbians with a girl she just met instead of the hot Carja huntress and Oseram breweress that have been making bedroom eyes at her since the first game".

That said, she has a consistent character development throughout the two games, she has a plethora of flaws and they get juxtaposed with Elizabeth and (as of this game) Beta plenty of times to do fun things regarding "nature vs nurture" and this gets pretty good, maybe as far as Nameless One good.

Plus, being a badass that can take down robot dinosaurs and talk down murderous AIs and cobble together fun new gear from thousand-year-old tech she literally just dug up? Total package.

Nah not for me, but we are going to highly subjective terretory here! If she is for you, thats ok. For me she is not, for me she is a little bit over an Assassins Creed Main Character.

She is the worst written character of all main characters in Horizon games.
She is not even Top 5 characters from games released this month, let alone of all time.
She is arrogant and clearly think she is better then the rest of people on the planet.
She dont have any depth..

You can simp for character made of pixels as much as you want, it wont change the fact the she is one of the least interesting main characters in game.

Totally agree! I download saves from nexusmodes with almost fisished main story, becouse dont want listen her and homoideology of game developers. Now I happy with exploring map.

I like Aloy. I wouldnt rate her in a Top 10-List though. There are 10s of thousands of main characters in Videogaming-History.
Top 100, now we´re talking. She would make a place there in my book.

I have to agree. Some main character make a video game, you can't change them even though in some games they are changing them. And I don't think that's right in most cases when that character has a strong personality.
