So thunderjaw charge attack bugged?
Was fighting a thunderjaw when it used it's charge attack so I dodge out of the way only for it to do an instant 180 turn and hit me.

A couple of the machines can cause you damage even though they completely miss you by several meters. I've also had them either hit me with a ranged weapon or with a melee attack when I'm behind a large rock without actually destroying the rock, The Thunderjaw is the worst offender in both games where the tail clips through a large rock or wall and hits you but the rock or wall is still there afterwards

One of TJ's most endearing qualities is that despite being huge and massive it can turn on a dime with nine cents change. This is also evident in its tail sweep, which is often a full one-eighty and takes less than a second. The only defensive move I've found is to string a few dodge-rolls with zig-zag if you can manage it. However because of Aloy's abysmally slow recovery time after a knockdown in HFW, one can get smothered under a machine far too often, and dodges are not nearly as effective as in HZD.

Carry lots of berries and start the bigger fights with an HP juicer to overfill the meter.

Turning on always sprint helps. it will make slide dodge easier to execute.

Which will give you two instances of invulnerbilty frames instead of just the start up of a roll. The slide invulnerblity frames won't really save you, it's the roll start up that will often save your health bar, after the slide. You may still get knocked around like a rag doll and knocked to the ground with that long recovery, but the health bar won't take that huge hit.

It's annoying when they magic turn and redline you when you're doing well... I've honestly given up on fighting the big ones fair at this point. Now I just snipe what I'm farming and power shot spike them all to death.

Nothing at all unfair about that, especially with beasts like the Slaughterspine that can bombard you even when out of line of sight. A stealth and boomspike approach takes advantage of Aloy's strengths, whereas direct frontal assault can be more than a llittle foolish depending on the machine. I like the spike weapons and have gotten proficient at both short and long range use, and now have a variety of Legendary spikers to chose from. Best weapons in the game imo.

My problem with it was the Thunderjaw charged me, I rolled out of the way but before I could turn my cam to face it it had did a complete 180 and finished it's charge animation and hit me.
