Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition

Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition

Statistiche:
Ubisoft world design
I think the game would improve if they removed all the generic "discoverable" map markers for various enemies, camps and such until you actually discover them yourself. More importantly remove the crap you get from generic chests.

With a fairly cool world it strayed from exploration/hunting (beat a difficult enemy) into checking boxes territory, where no individual checkbox is worth anything. You need like 20 of them to get a meaningful reward.

PS: I am playing on "explorer" mode, which lead me to believe this wouldn't lead to Ubisoft experience.

yeah this game is hand holding AF for you it is extremely annoying and not immersive at all
You know that you can just disable those markers one by one?

Go onto the map, hit the "start" button (idk what it is on keyboard), and turn on/off whatever you want, to your likings.

Additionally, you can go into Settings > General > "Hud Visibility" to off, and then in "Custom Hud Settings" you can also change a lot of hud-related settings, for ex. always turn on item markers, or turn off the on-screen ui elements.

The game really lives from its ability to customize most of stuff.
This was something a lot of people spoke up about my self included at the launch of HFW on Playstation that constant narration as too what too do in a given area and telling you solutions, sure the map bit would be nice if not even question marks were there however they are not my big issue it is her constant telling you the solution,

The map icons does not bother me just more that constant jabbering Aloy does about how to do something i would like to figure it out myself at times, so kind of hope we get some mods that might "silence" her constant hand holding do this and that bit.
Well, TECHNICALLY you can do all the exploration by youself, without said markers, if you ignore Tallnecks. This way, you will have indicators only for areas that were in short range from Aloy when you were passing by, and would have to rely on rumors from "bench" NPCs if you'd want to find more important/interesting things when going into undiscovered area.

I assume that as soon as the Decima Explorer integrates HFW fully, we'll be able to just mute/remove those specific sound files. May just take some time, as apparently HFW has made a lot of Engine Changes compared to Zero Dawn.

I wish it were that simple. I didn't know what you were talking about, so I had a look.
This filters out stuff by type. Sadly, no options to turn off undiscovered things or reduce that discovery range.

That range is outside of my vision, so it's still "discovering" stuff before I do.
