Go onto the map, hit the "start" button (idk what it is on keyboard), and turn on/off whatever you want, to your likings.
Additionally, you can go into Settings > General > "Hud Visibility" to off, and then in "Custom Hud Settings" you can also change a lot of hud-related settings, for ex. always turn on item markers, or turn off the on-screen ui elements.
The game really lives from its ability to customize most of stuff.
The map icons does not bother me just more that constant jabbering Aloy does about how to do something i would like to figure it out myself at times, so kind of hope we get some mods that might "silence" her constant hand holding do this and that bit.
I assume that as soon as the Decima Explorer integrates HFW fully, we'll be able to just mute/remove those specific sound files. May just take some time, as apparently HFW has made a lot of Engine Changes compared to Zero Dawn.
I wish it were that simple. I didn't know what you were talking about, so I had a look.
This filters out stuff by type. Sadly, no options to turn off undiscovered things or reduce that discovery range.
That range is outside of my vision, so it's still "discovering" stuff before I do.
