Change Difficulty Level

I keep reading that the difficulty level can be changed at any time. The option to change the difficulty level does not show up in the settings. Am I missing something? (I am NOT playing at the ultra hard difficulty level.)

Load your save, hit ESC and go into Settings. On the page that opens (you don't have to switch to a different tab), there is a "Difficulty" setting that can be changed. It is in the third group of settings, after "Privacy Settings" and before "Quest Pathfinding".

You can't change difficulty if you've picked a level that doesn't allow that. Ultra Hard, for example, doesn't let you do that.
