the only ones that require it, are ones that have online multiplayer. it's really not that complicated.

My worry is that they add it later. So do I buy now and hurry and play before they change their mind? Been reading a lot on how it's honestly no different or improve on the first game. I will say, I loved the first game and am okay with this. Would love to continue the story.

If you buy any Sony game on here expect them to retroactively require PSN in the future. I bought (and refunded) HD2 when I found out about this change. If it's free, you're the product.

If you pré-ordered and wanted the goodies, then yes. It might not be "mandatory" yet for SP, but it will follow in due time. Like the product you are a product!
