Also, sliding after running used to be instantaneous in HZD from what I remember, but now you have to wait a moment after running, and it can sometimes result in crouching instead (using Dualsense at least). I've tried to replicate what causes it to crouch instead of slide, but it really does seem near random.
I'm not sure the timing/combo/if you don't get it exactly right you're knocked down again & again mechanic suits the game at all but if you're going that way with gameplay at least make the controls responsive enough.
XBox controller, both bluetooth & wired.
Its my only major gripe about the game to be honest.
Rolling is slow and way to short. No dodge, also make melee pointless besides hardly doing any damage and being slow af.
Oh yeah, run-slide is super slow on controller with half the time she just start to "sneak".
Climbing now is really dumb, with Aloy far to often refuse to pull-up the last "handhold", or jumps in a random direction when you press UP. At least the handholds are easier to see on all terrains.
In the heat of one battle in U/Hard I did see a momentary screen message - something like 'your opponents can block if you use the same melee technique' - don't quote me, it went real fast, but I did see it so that's why I tried jumping over them - that works.
HZD .... MUCH BETTER .... TO MANNY IDIOTS WORK IN SONY
Lol, same feeling, but I don't fault the game for it. For me, it adds challenge not to get hit, and I like it.
Literally most of the machines in this game get back up immedietly after a non knockdown trip.
