Faro's Tomb
So you arrive on the island, and there's a white dude with blue eyes in charge. I wonder whats going to happen.

No but seriously, the foreshadowing is so thick it deflated the whole tention immediately.
Because you already know what will happen, and thats not me spoiling anything.

Because yeah, they really dont like them.

I was just thinking "oh a white guy in charge? I wonder how they let that one slip by....oh that's why, of course".

The entire ambience and immersion of the mission is ruined by him being such an insufferable and purposefully cowardly zealot because he's white. So you would be glad when he falls into the damn lava. .

I couldn't believe aloy actually opened the door for them. It was obviously such a bad idea.

Just go in there, do your thing, come back out an hour later, shrug and say you couldn't find a way in.

Or when he ordered aloy to put on the clothes or...he kills her. Like dude, have you seen her kill an apex thunderjaw just now? Are you out of your damn mind? Well, i guess he was but i don't understand why Aloy went along with it instead of killing the guards...something we do a few mins later anyway.

Everything to do with that guy was so narratively frustrating. Only thing they needed him left to do was order Aloy to make him a sandwich, just for that extra "white man bad" cherry on top.

umm... they weren't aiming at Aloy. Seemed like a poor reason to not wear some clothes... Clothes that happen to be pretty strong once you look at their stats... lol. And comfortable looking as well.

As for not opening the door... the above would have happened and their would have been no plot armor to save Aloy. Would have been one of those Nier Automata alernate endings... (if this game had actual alternate endings......)

Honestly... I was expecting the clothes to be a bikini, but nope... can't go that way. Have to keep the game woke. (which is why Japanese games are always gonna be better than western games... Still say Lady is the best character intro ((DMC3))

Two drew their bows. One at Alva, one at Aloy. Here at this time (23:46): https://youtu.be/KgSforOj5PQ?t=1426

And last part... weird take.

Hmm I wonder what the OP got banned for....

Hah jesus, it IS as stupid as i originally thought! I assumed i didn't understand the animation and they just aimed at Aloy.

Them threatening to kill with just some bows the demi-god that just killed a thunderjaw stopping their expedition, the unstoppable chosen one that already killed a team of their marines? Bold move but ok.

Them threatening to kill an important member of their own team if Aloy doesn't comply? I...can't even explain how monumentally stupid that is.

Dude, give me the renegade option and i'll kill them all, Alva included, i'm there to save the world. Why is she putting up with this crap?

She threatened chief Hekarro when she first met him while he was being WAY more reasonable. This CEO nutcase? Yeah, let's go along with his plan for some reason.

I'm not sure i get you. Why did Aloy open the tomb for them? She was in a hurry to get the thing and save the world. Why did she need to let in the people that had nothing to offer her and could only get in her way?

I can only guess that being foreshadowing and the "Diviner" is the only one who could dispute the fact that the guy is reincarnate of Ted while Ted is some kind of biological blob downstairs that lived for ~1000 years?

Yeah, it makes sense for the CEO to want to kill them after the blob reveal but not before that.

As far as i can recall, until the blob thing, she was a useful member of his team, doing everything he wanted.

It's like chief hekarro threatening to kill Kotallo if Aloy didn't wear proper attire during the kulrut or something.

First of all... the story is completely linear.
Second...them killing her friend is enough of a reason for Aloy to stick around, according to the writers of this game.... Besides... how is Aloy gonna stop the ventalation fan with the controls on the wrong side of the fan?

Writer's logic. That clan's whole thing is about information control. Can't have that truth getting out. He'd probably have the soldiers killed too, once he deemed himself safe. He would have just stepped outside and told the guys who stayed behind to kill them all with zero excuse given, and you know they'd do it without question....

You find out that the second in command knew it was all BS... but he's no different. Information Control is what he believe's too. He just sees Aloy's deal as a good one. She saves the planet and he takes the credit.

Yeah CEO was a spoiled brat with a God complex so i could almost believe he was a descendent of Faro with his self importance.

But that goes for a lot of them look at Regalla clearly suffering from PTSD and cant let it all go and has to fight in order too keep going, Aloy clearly has her own struggles with her better knowing point of view, Silens is maybe the most pragmatic of all of them, okay a bit selfish sure just wanting to take off so to speak and avoid the next big boss we might see.
