Tear arrows work in exactly the same way they did in HZD. If you accumulate enough tear on a component to remove it, it will fly off, if you don't, it doesn't.
Doesn't seem all that difficult to understand ><
I play on normal and also feel like the base hp for a lot of enemies is higher and the overly complicated damagetype distribution does not help either.
Sometimes i feel like i am playing Monster Hunter
or something and i do not really enjoy that.
I guess it will ease up when i get better weapons. IDK.
Ok, fine. It isn't visible. Explain the math to me. I can remove a part with 6 shots of a bow that does around 160 Tear damage, but not with 6 shots of the sharpshoot bow with Tear Precision Arrow that does 260 tear damage.
I happily used Precision Tear Arrows on the Raintrace Hunting Ground (?) to strip the Shock Cannon off the tremortusk for the heavy weapons trial. At the time it took 2 arrows to remove it, or several more if I used my regular hunting bow.
I haven't bothered with the Tear arrows for ages though, not after getting a 5/5 Death-Seeker's Shadow and stacking 25/15/15/15/15% component tear mods on it. The ammo just isn't worth the crafting cost and 0 impact damage imo.
For me its kinda the opposite, but maybe i get my math wrong.
I tried it with some bear maschines. Maybe i dont understand what that % mean.
Bow 1 Tear Precision Arrow: 7dmg, 265 tear dmg
it needed 6 Shots.
Bow 2: 52dmg and 138 tear dmg + 25% tear dmg and 15% strech/overdo(? is that the english word?). When i calculate the tear dmg i get around 200.
it needed 3 shots
