Apparently the bug has been around for a long time
As said I was able to do all possible manipulations...
I don't understand why he doesn't patch the bug!!! However, it is easy to find an alternative..
It's a hellish bug and what's more, it's known on console!!!
If you're on PC though, and you have Version History in OneDrive (I'm not sure if you have to pay for an O365 subscription to get this, but for what it's worth, I do pay for such a subscription) you're saved.
Find your save files location, it's usually like:
C:\Users\<username>\OneDrive\Documents\Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition\76561198046116302
Right click the autosave0.dat or quicksave0.dat file > OneDrive > Version History. I had versions of this file going 5 months. Download a copy of one of these files from whatever date before you hit the bug (which in my case was from early September), and copy it into the above directory as eg: autosave6.dat or quicksave6.dat (whatever filename doesn't already exist). Then fire up the game, on the main screen go to load a save, and you should see the save file you restored, in the list.
Doing this, I only lost 2 hours of gameplay which is way better than starting all over again!!
