burning shores low fps problem
Does it happen to anyone else that it is impossible to play burning shores? I haven't had any problems in the entire main story, but in the DLC it's impossible

As soon as I enter burning shores my fps dropped from around 100 to 40-60. That whole area seems way less optimized than the main game.

Yes it's more demanding than the main game. It was only released on PS5 and not PS4 because of this. I dropped it down from high to medium textures and shadows and it was perfectly playable.

Weird I'm playing the base game at 1440p max settings at around 130-150fps, burning shores runs at around 120-130fps, maybe it's a VRAM thing.

Possibly, I only have 8GB but never bothered to check the usage.

Not *unplayable*, but certainly noticeable.

The DLC is clearly less optimized than the base game, as this is a universal problem.

i see some difference on my machine, looking at performance in task manager

but its marginal compared to HZD.

Thanks for the clarification. Just got to Burning Shores and had to do the same.

Yeah... unfortainitly for me. I have the PS4 version of this game. So it'll probably be a year before I can get the DLC. I'm waiting for the PS5 Pro to come out.

Burning Shores runs fine 95% of the time (at least on my end). The problem lies in Fleet's End, where my fps drop from 80/100 to 55/50 at very high 1440p.

Even the final battle, which is said to be intense visually, runs without any problem.

I should also mention that in Burning Shores, when some bush or plant covers the camera view, the FPS drops momentarily. It's a strange aspect, but it doesn't affect the game too much. I think it runs pretty well overall, but yes, it does need further optimization.
