Found a fix* for the ugly dust effect bug!
Ugly dust layer:

Fix*:

I downloaded a camera tool from Otis_Inf patreon and you can control the wind speed and some other funny things in the game, like fog, time of the day, lod draw distance, weather, etc, etc, I think it is very good, but it costs 5$, not very expensive in my opinion.

Setting the wind speed below 3 or above 18 will get rid of the PS3 like dust effect, maybe this is the only fix we will get for the ugly dust effect.

Wow, thank very much you for sharing this! I will pay 5$ for this mod if it "work around" the ugly dust effect.

I wouldn't call it a fix but a way to hide or work around the issue as it triggers with a range of wind speeds, so tweaking and setting the game's wind speed out of this range should remove the triggering issue condition. Good catch! We'll lose some of the in-game wind variability, though.

I'm likely asking you a lot, but please, would it be possible for you to make a video or a guide explaining how to use it to fix the ugly dust effect? And or show a before and after using this tweak/mod? I'd appreciate that before purchasing the camera tool.

I don't know about paying for mods however if this actually works it's great. Maybe the creator should post a video showing how this works. Also will a patch break the mod and if so do we need to be subscribed to get a fix? Not knowing if this will be fixed in patch makes this enticing but I don't want to be perma subbed just to get an update if the mod breaks. Nice work though.
paid mods are no buena bro....

It's very easy to use, it is only a injector with settings, first run the game then the injector.

i knew it wasn't a bug. it's part of the artstyle of the game. paid mods aren't good, and you shouldn't be advertising here.

Have you tried changing the wind direction rather than speed?
Secondly, I am not sure why people are calling this a bug as it's not. It's a dust blade effect.

I wouldn't call reducing the wind to nothing, as a proper fix to the issue. Just means no dust blowing. People want the dust blowing fixed, not removed...

Yeah wind direction do nothing to the turbo dust blade effect.

Yeah hope they properly fix the dust layers, but if they not, well I think it's better to have less dust than a lot of horrible one.

Gotcha! I think I know what you mean as I agree it looks a bit off, so if they can make it look nicer it would be great. Hopefully they will change it although.. the PS5 version is the same ^_^

It's not a mod it's a camera tool, otis is well known for making camera tools for lots of games and filters for reshade.

These are primarily intended for those interest in ingame photography, you can find out more at: https://framedsc.com/

For example, the camera tools for this game enable: screenshot[i.imgur.com]

I did not have any weird dust effect u seeem to have, though there was a kinda 'cutoff' that shoulden't be there. The new driver fixed that i believe because they gona now and have nice flow of the dust-stream.
