Cannot complete burning shores dlc anybody else?

As the title says I cannot complete the dlc because for whatever reason alloy is no longer putting on her dive mask Even tho it’s still in my inventory. When underwater she just won’t equip it anymore. My only hope is that a mod is created to disable losing oxygen so I can complete the game. Just like in the main game you NEED THE MASK! Has this happened to anybody else? I’m literally on the last phase of the game and cannot proceed without it

As always it is a good idea to back up your game saves incase you break something (dont want to start over if something breaks)

Sure there are other options but Wemod is FREE to use.

I'm not there yet but is this really not for some quest related reason? crazy bug otherwise.
You can just tun on Thalassophobia (fear of deep water) relief in either the General or the Accessibility settings and then you don't need the mask.

Uninstalling reinstalling doesn't work? Checking game files doesn't work? Those are the obvious troubleshooting methods but I'm curious if you tried doing that.

Uninstall/reinstall should never be needed on Steam since they added the redist check to the verify files option. A Reinstall it won't effect files outside of the game folders such as your save game or configs unless you manually wipe those, so if they were the cause of problems it won't help. And it otherwise does nothing that verifying the game files won't do, only thousands of times slower.

Just use Steam's verify game files option (right click the game in your library - properties - installed files - verify integrity) , it ensures the files are all perfectly as they should be and will run any prerequisite redistributable installers again the next time you start the game after the validation too (eg. Microscoft C++ redists some games need).

Just ran into the same issue. I feel like it has something to do with the quest where Aloy gives the mask to Seyka. Issues started after that.
I have started my new game+ yesterday and the issue has persisted into that as well. Really dissapointing.
