Vibration on Triggers.
So I have all of the vibration deactivated cause I do hate that, as I played last day there was no problems, but launching the game today, as soon as I start aiming and charging the arrow with the bow, my trigger start vibrating. I believe it is the Haptic Feedback if I understood what it was.

Is there any way to remove it ? I absolutely hate it, and I can't find any place in the settings where you can deactivate it.

Also playing on a wired Xbox Serie S controller.

Go into settings/gamepad/controller vibration

Already done that, the controller vibration are set to "Off" , yet this remains.

Weird, I have mine set to default and aiming with the bow doesn't vibrate, and I could imagine it would be very annoying. I am using a Xbox Elite controller myself and have totally removed the steam settings for the controller, it works without.

As I said in my post, I didn't have that "issue" yesterday. It appeared today without having any update of the game, CG, controller, it just began appearing. I've checked every forums or websites I could find about that, but most of them are how to activate that function and of course all time on Playstation 5, there is no much to no ressources about how to deactivate it for a Xbox controller on PC

Sorry, just been messing around with the settings and did notice a slight vibration while pulling the string, never even noticed before. If you've not already done so, try verifying the files. If it's recently been updated, restart the PC, I'm finding that on more recent games the PC need to be restarted. Other than this, I'm afraid I cannot help you more.

Already did all that. I actually found something from an other sub, basically downloading the Xbox Accessories app and creating a whole new profile for the controller and selecting to remove Vibrations. Making sure it is selectionned as default. That's the only way working until they either make a Patch to be able to remove it or do nothing.

This started happening to me when I launched 20 minutes ago (Wireless Xbox Elite 2). I've had vibrations turned off from the get go and today suddenly the triggers vibrate whenever I'm aiming my bows. I've tried pretty much everything from turning the setting on, saving and closing the game then turning it back off, restarting my rig, & verifying game files.

For now I've done the same and just turned off all vibration through the Xbox accessories app so my reply here is more of a confirmation that this is an issue.

I'm not really bothered by this too much since I really only use this controller for games like this or Monster Hunter and old school style games like Streets of Rage or TMNT: SR, everything else I'm strictly using m&k.

One thing you could try is to revert settings to default and then apply the Off setting. A thing that can happen is that the storage format for settings changes over time, and mistakes are made in terms of backwards compatibility. Forcing to default should hopefully overwrite all of the settings into a consistent up-to-date format.

I just had the same thing happen to me today. After 123 hours of satisfyingly vibration-free gameplay, suddenly my gamepad was buzzing every time I pulled the triggers. It didn't mattter what I did to the settings - or how many times I restarted the controller/game/computer - it just wouldn't stop.

I went to see if other people were having the same problem and found a bunch of potential fixes, some more complex than others. The thing is, I (like yourself) absolutely hate controller vibration. I find it annoying at best, distracting at worst, and generally consider it a needless gimmick that should've died out a long time ago.

With that in mind, I came up with the perfect solution: I opened up the controller, cut the wires connected to the vibration motors, and closed it up again. It took me five minutes at most, the controller still works perfectly well otherwise, and I'll never have to feel it vibrate again.

Voila! Problem solved.

I have this issue on a PS4 controller and like everyone else always have vibration off in settings. I have zero idea how to fix it as there isn't an app for PS4 controllers on PC as far as I know.

This is what worked for me.

Right click game-properties-controller, change it from 'use default settings' to 'enable steam input'.

You're a life saver, thank you!

Works for me too.

That said, I still hope they fix the game native controller settings. This is a quite obvious bug.

I've experienced that behavior today too, occurred after 40h playing. To edit the controller settings for that game helped :arty_hand:

idk... guess look into Steam Client controller setting by right clicking on the game, going to properties and play around with the controller driver setting, in there. Maybe disable the Steam controller Driver in favor of Microsoft's driver. Pretty sure Steam Client makes their driver the default one.

Found how to solve the problem:
1. Disable controller, then launch the game.
2. Navigate to gamepad settings with mouse/keyboard.
3. Then turn off triggers vibration or master vibration.
4. After that launch the game with gamepad, no more vibration.
