Over 200 hours.
Of the over 200 hours I've played this game, the great majority of that time was spent doing stupid fetch quests to upgrade my gear. Interminable, never ending sets of fetch quests.

If I have a criticism of the game it's that. I wanted to level up before doing Singularity but it's sucked all the fun out of the game for me.

So you played the game in a way that was boring and its somehow the games fault? I mean it kept your attention for 200 hours so I think it did it's job. At some point in the first 199 hours and 59 minutes you should have figured out that it wasnt worth it

And yet you still played for over 200 hours. If it was so bad you could have just stopped playing instead of coming here to have a meaningless moan.

If I want to upgrade my gear, I have to do a hundred hours of pointless fetch quests, yes. Now sod off.

I think you all have a serious problem with English comprehension. Let me state it again in more or less the same way: if I want to upgrade my gear, I have to do all these stupid, interminable fetch quests.

That aspect of the game is really badly designed.

Let state is this way.... this game came out on PC 2 weeks ago. 200 hours is 8.33 days. You spent 8.33 days out of 14 playing this game just doing fetch quests.

And youre complaining about you not having any fun lol

In 123 hours i have managed to fully upgrade 1 legendary outfit to max and 1 legendary bow to max, now i am just crushing all side quests, the other legendary weapons i am just gonna upgrade as and when, love my hunter bow so that is what i focused on, and it rips :), but agreed upgrading all your gear is unnecessarily long to do and an absolute chore, i think this game makes you focus on your playstyle weapons to upgrade first and mine is mid range.

I restarted about quarter way through the first run because the game didn't tell me what I needed to know. I got a lot of info from YouTube videos, believe it or not. For example, I didn't know I'd be able to override a Sunwing. The game was pointing me at impossible locations to climb to fetch green slabs I couldn't get to without it. I spent a lot of time trying to get to them.

It's a weird thing many people recommend changing to Story Mode to get Arena medals too. I didn't get very far on Hard, which is what my play-through is. Mostly got knocked down five times in a row then zapped. I can't believe people are actually able to get through it.

I love the story and characters but it's drowned in side content and fetch quests.

To me as long as Gorilla Games isnt selling XP boosters, item packs, or any other microtransactions to speed up the process then we are all grown adults and can make our own decsions. There are difficulty levels, NG+, and you can play the game after the credits roll. If people want to be completionists they have no one to blame but themselves. The main quest isnt that long and not that hard...everything else is icing on the cake. If people are spending hundreds of hours playing the devs are doing something right and people are getting thier money's worth.

Why would you do that when the game has many many quests and side quests to spend your time doing. Game is so much more that that. If you played like that. Thats on you.

Why would I want to upgrade my gear? Did the point just go whoosh over your head?

Upgrading of your gear comes naturally with the doing of quests and clearing machines on the way . you get all the parts you need.

I understand the passion to have all the armor sets, but there is no need to have them. Just play the game and play it a few times each time trying out a different spec for the fun of it. i love games that offer a lot of things to do. I feel like i get my moneys worth.

Upgrading of your gear comes naturally with the doing of quests and clearing machines on the way . you set all the parts you need.

That is far from true.
