desert is awful for graphics

so ive been noticing some rather grainy graphics, as well as some rather ugly dust effects and fps issues whenever im in the desert, anywhere else is much better, still some grainy graphics and pixelation but far less awful, and it runs much smoother, anywhere from 15-20 fps smoother, anyone else experiencing this?

I don't have the grain issues but the buggy dust effect makes that place so ugly. I don't really like deserts in games tbh and I just do them as fast as possible but this one actually looked nice. It's a shame that the buggy dust effect is so prominent there.

yeah its really annoying, ive also run into perfomance issues on my second playthrough that werent there on my first, wondering if a patch accidentally caused it

Pretty sure that's how it looks on the ps5, so normal really. Prolly should double check it tho. The only particle oddity I've noticed is with water, specifically wave action in the seas.
I believe it caused by FSR, not disabled it to test it as its never really bothered me enough to.

I honestly couldn't tell if the dust/wind was supposed to look like that, or if something was up with my GPU.

Oof that's awful. Looks like a bug tbh. I haven't made it to the desert yet on pc but I played it on ps5 and definitely would have noticed that, so it seems like it's a pc exclusive problem. Hopefully they'll fix it in a patch here pretty soon, before I get to the desert would be nice.

It's a bug with the VFX setting. It can happen to any effect, like GAIA's shroud or dust devils.

Yeah it is a bug in the dust layer, the polygon is visible and looks awful, I had a topic about it but it looks like steam or sony banned it because I can't see it anymore
