the last 6 months the drivers from Nvidia caused alot of Problems. i am still using 537.58 and there are no crashes or Issues at all. On the latest Drivers the Performance is getting worse after each update

Same here, was good with HZFW and since last 3 updates, everything is freezing and crashing. Can someone help me with getting back to older drivers with geforce experience please ?

just go to the nvidia site and see the driver history and from there u can download the driver and just install it over ur existing one. This is the one that i use and this works with no problems or crashes at all: https://www.nvidia.de/download/driverResults.aspx/212773/de

I never rely on Nvidia for anything driver related. I get everything from Guru3D. They have a program called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) that is a must. It uninstalls the previous driver completely, but you must have Windows in Safe Mode when you run it.

I install drivers via installers I download from Guru3D. I never use the option to install Geforce Experience and always perform a clean install of the drivers. Geforce Experience and Nvidia Control Panel are in the process of being replaced by a unified app. Even when that happens I still would not use it to install drivers.

Installers for most drivers should still be available for download on Guru 3D.

For me this driver has solved all FPS and frametime issues I had in cutscenes & Cauldrons.
I had to disable HAGS & FG +Reflex for the game to work properly.
Now after this driver update I am able to use HAGS, FG & Reflex without any issues.
Seems all problems were related to Nvidia F-ing up the REBAR settings on driver level.

Setup 13900K + 4090RTX.

Were you by any chance getting odd lighting/shadow flickering on foliage and trees and textures when upscaler turned on and the camera is moving? It depends on location and is worse at night times. Only way I’ve noticed it stop is when turning of all descalers completely but then my fps tanks

I have noticed more stability in frame rate since the update, however I also have had some weird sound/audio/dialogue missing in cut scenes. Not sure if this is related to the the drivers though

Runs noticeably better, I can turn the textures from medium up to high without frame drops on 8 GB of VRAM.

I haven't had any issues with the previous or just released Nvidia drivers, but I keep getting the outdated driver warning when starting the game despite having the latest drivers. The game for whatever reason detects the wrong driver version - but runs without any issues.

The new driver caused massive FPS drops for me after a couple minutes of gameplay. Downgraded to the previous one and the issue is gone.

Anyone else experienced this?

Does anyone use the "Display driver uninstaller" before upgrading the drivers

I do, I use it with every new driver that comes out. I always start with a clean slate. I also do a clean install each time. By doing it that way, if there's anything wrong with that driver, I know for certain that it is that which is causing the issue and not corruption from installing it over the top of an old one.

If I had a game like TLOU or this it would obviously recompile the shaders again at launch, but, I'd think of it as a necessary evil if the game ran better with the newer driver. I would honestly advise everyone to use DDU and do a clean install rather than using GFE or just installing it over an old one.
