I install drivers via installers I download from Guru3D. I never use the option to install Geforce Experience and always perform a clean install of the drivers. Geforce Experience and Nvidia Control Panel are in the process of being replaced by a unified app. Even when that happens I still would not use it to install drivers.
Installers for most drivers should still be available for download on Guru 3D.
I had to disable HAGS & FG +Reflex for the game to work properly.
Now after this driver update I am able to use HAGS, FG & Reflex without any issues.
Seems all problems were related to Nvidia F-ing up the REBAR settings on driver level.
Setup 13900K + 4090RTX.
Anyone else experienced this?
I do, I use it with every new driver that comes out. I always start with a clean slate. I also do a clean install each time. By doing it that way, if there's anything wrong with that driver, I know for certain that it is that which is causing the issue and not corruption from installing it over the top of an old one.
If I had a game like TLOU or this it would obviously recompile the shaders again at launch, but, I'd think of it as a necessary evil if the game ran better with the newer driver. I would honestly advise everyone to use DDU and do a clean install rather than using GFE or just installing it over an old one.
