Skill tree is outdated and terrible game design

It doesn't help that she needs special armor or coils on top of her skills just to reach her previous skill levels from Zero Dawn...

Thats usually how it works in every sequal that has the same protagonist.

Uhm, okay, care to explain how its actually outdated & bad game design?
Giving the player all the tools & powers right at the start sounds to me like terrible design since there is no sense of progression.

Really? I think the upgrades are quire substancial, just as they should be. Everything from ex placing more traps faster or drink potions way faster really changes things, and the powers make a ton of difference.
I do however think that its might be a bit generous with skill-points but you are still making choices in the tree & not just spamming skillpoints into stuff (atleast until very late into the game).

Omg a game based on loot and skill trees makes you weak at the beginning

That is definately a new thing and should be investigated.
