It's a known issue, I myself and others have encountered. Some might suggest it's "system stability/user error" but it's 100% a game issue.

Perhaps different display settings would help?
Game allways crashes when second pump activated and water flows in
Unless you're one of those... I refuse to underclock... you're not gonna know unless you try it.
I'm running the game on Windows 10 with the following specs:
Intel Core i9-14900K 3.20 GHz processor
Z790 MAG Tomahawk WiFi Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard
64.0 (2 x 32) GB RAM
Everything is just over a year old, and I built my rig to be a beast since I'm a professional animator and occasional video editor, so I knew the crashes weren't from a lack of robustness.
I was not overclocking my system; I was using the standard settings.
Turns out, what some people in this thread said about the motherboard needing a BIOS flush was right. I downloaded the latest version (only a few days old, lucky me!), flushed the BIOS, and BAM! Everything runs like a dream. Not a single crash since.
I was even having crash issues exporting a 4k short film that I was finally able to export after the flush. I was nervous doing the BIOS flush since I'm no hardware guru, but I was even able to figure out why my system wasn't booting to Windows after the flush after a little Google searching (I neeed to direct it to the correct hard drive).
I hope this helps someone else as much as this thread helped me!
