Worth buy on full price or wait for sale?
Never played this kind of game before, but is it worth full price? Is it 100 + hrs of content, or is it just 50 hrs and the money got wasted?

Well worth the buy for me. 50 hours is in no way a waste if your enjoying a game. But this game should take well over 50 hours.

Wait for a sale, the game is at full price after nearly 2 years + remember it is a console to pc port, like all console ports it is not perfect on day one, so far there was only two patches but kind of counts as one and there will be more coming soon adressing the important stuff near everyone is discussing these days.

what does it came out on console 2 years ago have to do with anything at all. Its a brand new game on PC using techs that don't even exist in a playstation. It is a great game and well worth the price. lol Its not been out for the PC for 2 years. SO that is false.

100+ hours? Depends how you play. I've finished the main quest in 65 hours, now starting the included DLC. So not directly a 100+ hours.
There's a New Game+ mode and you can replay it but its fairly linear and you dont have any real choices that change the course of the game.

The game is HUUUUUGE...as a brand new AAA PC game it's easily worth the money.

No game is perfect on Launch.

Buy the 1st one HZD as it is much cheaper like $10, this one is slow pacing in beginning and even worse w/o background of story.

Well worth every penny. But I recommend playing the first one... first

You are right and I believe HZD can be found pretty cheaply now, this really is a sequel to the first game and I couldnt imagine starting off with HFW, having played HZD, which is also a really good game does help

If the OP hasn't played HZD then I would start with that before playing HFW. The backstory and lore of this game is brilliant and mind bending and constantly grows - slowly but amazingly - throughout. HZD can be had for super cheap on sale.

And OP - don't read too many articles (or any) on Horizon before you play. Don't let the backstory get spoiled...it's amazing to realize stuff as you go. I think it's amazing.

thank you so much guys, I will buy both of the games then. As I understand: both games are worth full price.

The further I get into the story, the more I regret telling people that the brief recap at the beginning of Forbidden West was good enough if they never played Zero Dawn. There's just so much of the story that's interconnected with the original that people will miss out if they never played the first one. Technically you could play only the second game, but you'd only get half the experience.
