Need help with Sunwing controls on pc/mouse/kybd please
Ok, so I am laughing but I seem to be in a permanent nose dive on the Sunwing - the controls as listed in the settings show spacebar for height, the sunwing stops flying and 'hovers' as it's gaining height; so I use w and Lshift to go forward fast and immediately get to ground level again - oh, skimming trees smacking into rocks, you know. I can't dismount the bird either (was trying to get some greensilver or whatever it is).
The tips on the net relate to console commands, I haven't found any for pc.
If anyone could assist, I'd appreciate it - the couple of bits I got to fly were great - um before I smacked into a mountainside that is! :)

Think airplane controls. w(up) is nose down, S (down) is nose up.

Shift is throttle or sprint.

I think default slow down/brake/stop is C. I switch this to CTRL.

Space is go straight up, off the ground or from a hover.

To go in a straight line forward, just tap shift. To go faster, hold shift.

To go up while flying, hold S. To go up faster, hold S and shift.

To bank left and up while flying fast, hold shift, S and A

etc etc

To jump of, press E. To dismount, hold E, then let go.

You'll need to get good at flying, there places where you need the sunwing to open certain grates

As already said the key is to understand that S = climb and W = descend.

Just one point on what's been said it is ctrl to slow down/stop by default rather than c.

You need to master it if you want to do the equivalent to Vista points in the Burning Shore DLC.

Thank you both, I sorta figured it out, remapped a couple of keys to make it easier - my main issue was thinking I had to 'w' to go forward together with the shift key; once I stopped that just a minute or 2 ago I finally flew. Must say it's pretty awesome and an amusing pick up of Aloy by the bird when she calls it.
Thanks again for taking the time to help a fellow traveller across the west!
