Sorry, the only option is too turn off ALL voice (which isn't ideal) or turn up your music really loud whenever it starts to feel like a puzzle is coming on. Sony likes to target the hand-holding market to the extreme.
also the ladders help because the platforming in this game is far from perfect, and will constantly glitch, causing aloy to fall short on jumps despite even the specific leaping animations kicking in. this usually only happens when jumping gaps--which is the worst jumps possible to fail

Just curious... what difficulty are you playing on? Idk if harder difficulties eliminate a lot of the stuff... I am playing on ultra hard so idk if the so called handholding youre talking about is removed.
