Which difficulty do you play on ?
I mostly someone who plays on harder difficulty but the start of this game feels pretty annoying on hard I have to say, normal feels right a good sweetspot atm for the length of this game etc.
Which one do you play on ? I am thinking of switching later again if it feels to easy or something

Ultra hard, I believe the game locks the difficulty but I didn't read the prompt. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aids, do not recommend. Everything can - and will - one bang you. I repeat, do not recommend

I'm playing on hard, the start was quite a pain, but with a lot of exploration and I am now overleveled and stuff feels manageable and fun even with my bad reflexes, most of the time.

I think Ultra Hard was designed with New Game + in mind though I haven't beaten the game yet. I would not recommend Ultra Hard for a 1st play through. Ultra Hard on a new save is straight masochism.

Hard is fun.

I´m playing on hard to prepare myself for ultra hard, Exactly like in HZD. It´s punishing AF but fun.

Souls veteran here. First off, I hate difficulty sliders on games like this. That said, the game itself is beautiful and amazing. Played on hard (and stuck with it throughout), and it gives a good experience for my 1st run. Plan to go very hard/ ultra of NG+.

That said, I checked the differences of the different difficulty settings and it's disappointing that the only difference is HP scaling and damage taken. If there were new moves by enemies or story options at harder difficulties, it would have been more worth going to very/ ultra hard on first playthrough, but meh.

Bottom line, you don't miss much playing at lower difficulties.

Normal and It's fine for me. I hate it when enemies become bullet sponges and you die in 1 hit.

Hard, just like the 1st game. Then I did my 2nd playthrough on ultra hard. I like a challenge, but I also don't want it to be so obnoxious to the point where it becomes unnecessarily tedious.
Ultra Hard was already a challenge on NG+ in HZD with proper loadouts, so I imagine a first playthrough on ultra hard in this game would be a nightmare with no skills or weapons.

Normal of course, i do not want to play a restart simulator.

Normal for me as well. I love that people of different abilities can enjoy the same game.

Doing normal. It's a bit easy at this point, but I tried hard and was getting one or two hit, which was no fun. Might try again when I level up weapons and armor.

Now that I have my end game loadout, I play a mix of settings. Very Hard machine health and damage levels for Aloy, Easy loot enabled. I'd play on Ultra Hard machine/Aloy levels if I could but I don't like Ultra Hard for the "locked in" nature and some of the changes (Lack of health bars, especially with no easy loot)

very hard, ultra hard is good but fights can last too long IMO.
