Check your skill

Select the skill bottom left (use z or x to cycle through the traps/items/potions until you find it) then press r.

You'll need to check what the equivalent controls are if you use a controller.

select it in items, x or z, then press R, that is if you have already overridden a mount. If not, you might consider playing Horizon Zero Dawn, its an amazing game!

z or x to switch and the horse is you call...tap R not hold and your mount will be there for you.

You have to override a mountable machine first. Once you have overriden one, the call will be located in the menu at the bottom left, where you cycle through traps, potions, rocks, and fast travel packs.
