Any way to force change difficulty from Ultra Hard?

So I'm 10 hours into my playthrough, but my patience is wearing thin (cleared out an entire camp except for 1 enemy, die to 1 shot, whole camp respawns).

Anyone know if there's any way to mod a save to be able to change the difficulty?

How you dare to put this game in ultra hard, I mean, in normal there are some machines that already can oneshot you, I can't imagine what a hell has to be in that difficult mode

from Menu, > start new game > pick easy > pew pew

The only thing you can do is get a save file from someone who is roughly in the same area as you.

If you are shortly after the embassy, check my post history as I made the same post and someone kindly shared their save of themselves at the embassy.

Also, almost exactly the same thing happened to me twice (one-shot by the last enemy in the camp - and that enemy was off screen behind some kind of barrier )

Doesn't it specifically warn you when you start ultra hard that part of the difficulty mode is that you're locked in?

I managed to change the difficulty by installing this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/horizonforbiddenwest/mods/50
I set "UnlockUltraHardRestrictions" in mod_config.ini to true, booted up the save file, changed the difficulty, saved the game and unistalled the mod.
This is probably too late for you, but for anyone else coming to this thread it may be helpful :)

easy and fast way is just start new game and put in story mood and play like speed run skip cutscene etc you can beat the entire game in less than 6 hours i think then farm everything you need to lv 5 then you play ultra difficult. i beat this game in ultra hard on ps5 but i bought this game on steam now this is what i did i beat the game in story mode first to farm item then new game plus now in my third run already fininsh but im farming the item i need to go to the ultra difficult
