It would probably also help if they didn't have so many scripted ambushes that have enemies instantly start throwing all their attacks at you once a cutscene ends. Literally the minute the game loads I get sniper shorts directed at me from the two stealth machines they have ambush me.
its not the issue with the game, if this is issue to you then that is also an issue to you to other games. some games are meant to be played this way, try first then analyze the enemy, if you killed it then well and good, if not then try again. Unless you are playing hardcore (aka Diablo edition) then, you have to prepare very well, otherwise, just go on with the flow.
OFC you can just make a manual save at a fire and reload to that.
And for the enemy jumping around yes they are very fast but you have a slow-mo and traps.
And stuff like the exploding javelin thing works pretty well regardless of where it lands.
playing on very hard and that fight was one of the few I had to replay a couple of times, just because their charge up thing one hit me.
Took me two times before I picked up on the sound it makes before firing.
Beat it easily by using the tripple arrow knock ability , ranged master valor thing and slow-mo to burst dps.
for the first machine I knocked of all it´s weapons and invis gen during my first slow-mo and it wasn´t much of a threat.
I also used the traps and wires you can set to create a safe zone as the AI either avoids hitting the traps or if it does takes a ton of damage.
Don't forget that you can use your Focus skill (Shift by default on Keyboard) to slow down combat while you're aiming - knock and draw your arrow, then slow time while you pick your shot.
Don't forget to use your sniper bow from a distance - I can kill most creatures with a few well placed shots before they get to me.
Don't forget that fully drawing your arrow before firing also does more damage and tear.
