3060ti crashing regularly - Work around
I have a 3060Ti which is a bit light for power, but still minimum recommended. I found that when I used High quality preset on a 1080p resolution I was crashing when the shaders were generating. I stepped down to Low and played for about 5 min, and then back up to High, and the game became stable.
Food for thought, YMMV.

Wait, 3060 is low for power? I have a regular 3060 which I thought was pretty decent.

I have 4090 and crashes like a bastard. Same issues in Horizon 1. They don't care about the game... nothing find on Google can fix my crashes

How exactly ?
What's the error message, if any ?

The game would play nicely for a few minutes, and then just dump to desktop with the crash reporter. I sent the crash report regularly. No other messages displayed.
System Win 10 fully patched 32GB Ram on ROG strix Z590-E i5-11600K (not over clocked)
About 20TB of disk and 4TB of SSD (game on SSD) RTX 3060Ti (8GB VRAM).

In what world is a 3060ti "light for power"?? Tons of people would kill to have a card like that not to mention its literally above recommended specs.

Anything present in Windows Event Viewer on those occasions ?

here is what worked for me, to be honest, idk which of these steps was crucial or if its the sum of it ...

reset to factory settings in BIOS, then NVidia Control Panel. turn off scaling in-game, reduce quality settings a bit.

download dlss update to 3.6.0 from nexus.

now you can increase graphics settings again (leave scaling turned off), not a single crash or whatsoever.

btw im on 3140x2160 all the time.

EDIT: uninstall MSI Afterburner and RTSS.
