- On keyboard quick tapping "G" will make Alloy jump up.
- Holding "G" will make Alloy jump alot further, but the jump will go backwards.
- Holding "G" + forward (W) will make Alloy perform a long jump forward.
Solution:
M1 -> M1 -> G -> hold M1 -> release M1 -> M1 -> hold G -> wait for animation -> release G -> shoot
Explanation:
I never did figure out the timing on this first part precisely, but I think the idea is to hit each action while the previous action is animating. This took me a long time to get right but I promise you it's M1 -> M1 -> G -> hold M1. Don't give up.
At this point you can relax, hold M1 for as long as you like, from here on out the timing is easy. If you get to this point, Aloy is holding her spear behind herself and it is glowing.
The next part is what took me most of the hour to figure out because the game lies to you and I haven't found anyone explaining it (in detail) online.
The game tells you to "Hold M1, then release M1, then hold G". This is a lie. You need to hold M1, then release M1 and then immediately tap M1 again and THEN hold G. If you do this correctly, Aloy will leap towards the opponent and then jump backwards off of him.
Now you can take your time and leisurely shoot him with an arrow. Done.
in the end I ignored the enemy for several rounds and just practised the sequence with focus on the fact that you need to press the next move during the preceding one.
I'm sure some of the details on how to time melee properly due to the game mechanics are explained in here as well as some cheesy ways to win.
