I can’t think of a time where she’s rude to people that gives her help or advice. There are moments you can choose to be mean tho. She’s always openly appreciative to people who do help her so I don’t know what you’re talking about there.
She has amassed vast amounts of knowledge compared to most. She is in a rush to fix things. She knows what she needs to do but other people with their delusional belief's keep getting in her way. Eventually, I'd get a bit annoyed as well. She isn't kind but she isn't cruel either. She is something inbetween. She is like a dark knight. Better than Batman tho. She actually makes a difference by killing all the bad guys.
Can't forget how she was treated as a child. Outcast, barely anyone to talk to. Something like that from that early in age will leave a permanent mark. She reminds me more of a wild animal than a person. Always keeping her guard up.
This all seems like people projecting their own shortcomings on game characters and makers.
She was changed to be all about herself, she is the hero, the savior and no one else can help, even though that is a flat out lie.
Her upbringing doesn't excuse her attitude, its a choice, i mean in real life, despite growing up in an abusive family, you can either choose to be an abuser yourself or become someone that protects others from said abuse.......ie....its a choice.
The writers decided that she is the only one who can save Earth and all Humanity and no man can help her, though women can help, but not any men.....then she got ass handed to her, then her outlook changed....that is when i started to respect her.
She wasn't like this in Zero Dawn, i am guessing a certain group was the cause of this when the Forbidden West was being developed.
Apart from this idiotic attitude, the game and story is pretty decent.
I do suggest that they refrain from using that certain group in the future.
Asking why Aloy is jaded is like asking why Batman hates criminals. Did you pay attention at all to her story?
