Respawn distance
This thing here is done absolutely terribly. I suppose it happens to everyone, you are on the edge of one machine territory and you run to neighbors. And you are basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥. The fact that I as the player constantly have to think about "not going too far to not lose the loot" is a gargantuous red flag. Total immersion breaker.

MAKE THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RESPAWN DISTANCE GREATER.

How TF could such ♥♥♥♥ make it through testing is beyond me.

Going 100 or 150 m away (or whatever the unit is) might be "fine" for you. For others, it's not. And how about you just use the uncle google.

you cheezing the AI by any chance?
(as in running out of bounds to where they can't charge and just plinking them with arrows, while all they can do is do long ranged attacks and/or stare at you?)

Look, if you just want to pretend like there's no problem (or if there is it's because people are cheesing or whatever, blah, blah) - ok, cool, your call. Just don't read it and don't react. This post had two points. 1. To ventilate frustration, obviously. 2. To point out this problem so someone can do something about it. Even if in future setting. The way it is it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

And the problem seems particularly connected to shellsnappers - don't know if it is some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ number in their characteristics but at least their territories both NW of The Base and SW of Camp Nowhere has exactly this same issue.

Spawned 2 of those near Camp Nowhere, brought one down, almost the second, then some Bristlebacks came from the north, when I was too close to their territory i guess. Dealt with them (going like 100 to 150 m away) only to return to see both shellsnappers full again and all the loot (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shooting those bolts off) gone.

Of course I know about this. But it can't be solved by not giving player his loot. Player can't be made responsible for enemies reaching some line in the sand, simply because he can bring them there with no intent at all. And as far as I know, the enemies just run away to the other side of their territory if cheesed like this. And if there are people who want to play it like this - be my guests. Their cost is time, it shouldn't be the loot.

But hey, it probably is my fault. Not because I was cheesing. But because I wasn't. I should have just shot off the front 2 bolts - super easy, collect them, run 100 m away and repeat. Getting any number i wanted. But no, I had to be Mr. Roleplay.
