but actually you can choose lower difficulty to pass the arena, which makes no difference in rewards as I remember.
It's supposed to be a combat challenge, you can use everything you got (before entering) and get everything back when you're done.
Only in each category's last challenge, you are given a specific loadout to work with, which you can use to learn the fact that different machines may require different weapons/playstyles.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but this kinda reads like yet another "Game isn't fun. I can't just spam-attack with a hunter-bow and win."
What I think was a silly move was to put a time limit on the reward for the challenges. The time limit makes it so that certain playstyles are utterly non-viable, which kinda goes against the whole "find and master your preferred playstyle".
