Try this. Helped me. -> https://www.fxsound.com/
Then explain why I never had this problem before, but suddenly do now? It's not just his system, or anyone's system, and I would be very surprised to find out we all had the same/similar setups or that none of us had the properly updated drivers (because, spoilers, I do - I checked)
Not all issues are specific to someone's PC, just because you don't have that problem, and I wish people would stop trying to push that issue off and just try to be helpful for once.
Not sure what your exact problem was, but my Music seems to cut out ~30 seconds into the game (on the main menu). I'm assuming everything works normally to that point, but obviously I can't load into the game quick enough to find out
Either way, from that point on, the only audio I have in-game seems to be ambient audio like walking around, jumping, etc... Occasionally, the dialogue will cut in briefly, before going silent - So I tend to get a very small bit of certain sentences, others are entirely quiet
I'm honestly about to refund, cause this is just broken and unexcusable, IMO
This is the new Dolby-Kill-Dialogue and Surround-Mumble standard.
That standard is now widely used in cinema films but also some Netflix series.
It was only a matter of time before it was adopted in games too. xD
Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any options in-game for surround sound. If you mean the audio "modes" I've already tried fiddling with them and nothing changes
It's just my TV, man... The sound only works for ~30 seconds, then I hear nothing except ambient noise in-game. That seems to be it in entirety. There are no other audio devices, it messes up with my headphones too (exact same issue), and no updates for my drivers or anything. Even did a complete re-install AND swapped from my External SSD to my internal C:\ Drive SSD with no changes
There's nothing "special" about using my TV to output sound, unless you consider the fact I don't have dedicated speakers because those messed up a while back and I have yet to replace them....
Edit: TLDR: this game is just broken, and IDK how TF you make is so pure audio, minus ambient, doesn't work but it's infuriating for a modern game to have such a basic issue for so long after release.
