There are no geese. Plenty of lobsters on the beach (lobsters walking around on the beach? Yes, on the beach). Lots of owls. Too many owls actually. I would say there's too much wildlife in general shambling around. It's unrealistic.

But back to my main point, there are no geeses.

It's an artificially seeded environment. Literally, says so right in the plot. Maybe they haven't gotten to the geese on the checklist yet.

You don't understand. I need a goose feather.

I found a goose over by Salt Bite. I shot it. You'd think wouldn't you, the one thing you can pretty much guarantee after killing a goose is that you get a goose feather. The typical goose has about 20,000 of them.

No feather.

Geese are scary bastards! I wouldn't want them to be anywhere near me, especially in my video games.

The Geese are there. Set a Job for the upgrade you want, and go to the indicated spot. Crawl around slowly (so you don't scare the Geese), scan frequently with your Focus, tag Geese, and plink them.

Yes, the Geese area I was led to was not very big, and not heavily Geesified. But if you go back and forth from end to end in the area, it will keep spawning new wildlife, including Geese.

(If there is a Machine herd in the area which is getting in your way, assuming the herd isn't marked on the map, you can probably leave the area and come back, and the machines will probably not respawn there.)

I now have a goose feather. Now I have to extract a Thunderjaw testicle or something, for some other job.
