So is this the new Assassins Creed Female Edition?
just wondering, I like the game, its nice, but can not shake the feeling that this feels like an Assassins Creed with an female protagonist, just like Tomb Raider!
Which is not bad, its actually good.
Just wondering if many dont see the forest before the tree. We are probably just playing a very nice mod of those two games.

For me, the game is great, and I am planning to buy the next one when I am done with Zero Dawn first (in a few weeks probably). This game is very similar to Far Cry 3 in my opinion because they share similar formula. (Especially the part with crafting potions from herbs and skinning animals to update the equipment), to Far Cry Primal and Avatar - Frontiers of Pandora (flying around with your pet and using a bow, collecting woods for arrows), to Crysis (because the robots gives me Ceph vibes and also the Cauldrons areas looks like a bit like the Core level in Crysis 1). The only similarity to AC is probably because of the climbing and the third-person look. So I am looking forward to play FW when I am done with the first game. See you around and happy hunting. :)

Gameplay styles are not exclusive to a specific franchise, sure another genre can't really use lightsabers or Kryptonians and so on, but the way you play the game can be used by all.

Hence Pokemon and Palworld........

There isn't a problem with a female MC, though a choice would be awesome but in this game's case, it is part of the story that the MC is a chick.

Not sure why they had to go to such great lengths to remove hints of her femininity and replace it with Masculinity, but hey, i am not a developer....i don't need to listen to activisits to avoid cancelation.

But overall the game is pretty decent, the graphics are good, Aloy isn't ugly, but she is abit more unattractive in this game, but it isn't vital, i just don't see why they need to demonize femininity in video games, it doesn't make sense to me.....but i digress.

AC, while i couldn't get into the new one, others were better, but overall AC is worse than this game.

You know that the last two AC games gave you the option of playing a female character? So they're AC Female edition.
Not really, if they give you the option to chose, then they are different to what I am comparing here, since here you can only play one specific character and gender.

Ah, so you've skipped Assassin's Creed Liberation which had only a female playable character.

To be fair, the bow action and crafting does feel a lot like the rebooted Tomb Raider trilogy, but EACH AND EVERY SINGLE THREE DEE CLIMBY GAME UNDER THE SUN owes its DNA to Tomb Raider the Original, which in turn was just Prince of Persia in 3D right before Prince of Persia 3D came out (yes, I'm old, why do you ask).

So this is just the latest breed of "all first person games where you can hold a gun are Doom clones" with extra steps tacked on.

I wouldn't say Horizon is an Assassin Creed game, first of all Assassin Creed is mainly a game about the future trying to uncover things from the past and somewhat maybe influence it with 2 factions opposing eachother. Horizon is the future after men made a huge mistake with AI and an evil AI wiped out almost every human and life while a female scientist tried one last hope to restore the world, now in the future a girl has to uncover all this and in HZD as well HFW she has to stop those evil AI and machines and heal the world as was normaly intended, so somewhat 2 different stories. Also you free how you play, you don't need to play as stealth killer, you can also just be a warrior and take them head on.

Not to mention how ACOdyssey was made with Kassandra as main protag, while the option to play as Alexios was forced by the higher-ups post factum.

I remember when Ubisoft made a big deal about the AC:Odyssey protagonist choice as being something new to AC, and all I could think was Evie Frye in Syndicate—required for many parts of the game, not a choice, but also optional as a choice in many other parts. (Zip lining all around London. Who wouldn't want to do that? Also, pub music changes based on which major targets have been killed.)

Its Mecha AC.
Nope. No one is piloting a mecha, and it doesn't fit in any of two categories of the genre. This is science-fantasy with robo-animals.

Dont care, didnt ask :popular:

More like Assassin's Creed Nick Avocado Edition.

It’s like a better, more fun and more engaging Assasins creed with much more variety to the gameplay.

I enjoy AC games and can see the similarity with this but it’s much better in many ways.

Well if you smell that way I feel sorry for you but maybe if you try using your brain and understanding what you write and what you think you write are not the same thing.

Forgive me, having not played AC I'm not sure, but how many robot dinosaurs do you fight in that game?
if you just exchange robot with real dinosaurs then its 1:1 the same game in AC:Primal, the whole enemy type is absolute copy/paste under the skin. Which is ok. No one needs to invent working enemy types new.

Also what the hell?

you're thinking of Far Cry, not Assassins creed. This game isn't really anything like Assassins creed. It is definitely more like a 3rd person far cry though, I've made that comparison with the first game.
