What happened to the shield of the "Shield Weaver" Armor/Outfit?

We do have the look of the "Shield Weaver" right from start of the game, but no more personal shield feature of it. Neither that cool blue flimmering that there is an active shield with this Armor, as well as the blue dots glowing. Instead it just got renamed to "Nora Annooid" which looks right at first sight, but doesn't have the features. Furthermore that we get this ridiculous shield to place in front of us and can't shoot through it from behind? What good does any shield when i have to step outside of it to be able to shoot and that way being exposed to all incoming damage again?!
I much rather trade that crap thing in for the nice personal shield of the "Shield Weaver" Armor, where it was possible to fight while being protected by it.

There is a skill that you can get that gives you a better but short lived shield. The description of the armor directly states that the power cell got depleted.

Eh, the fact that she lost all the equipment is more irritating. And completely off-screen no less, meaning they couldn't bother to show us how our super-duper protagonist got robed (ala every Mad Max sequel) yet were perfectly fine with one long arse boring cutscene of her riding to the title screen (something that should've been done as a cinematic video, not in-game cutscene).

Not just stole her gear, but also she somehow lost ALL of her overrides besides Charger and Tallneck(which is suspect is on the override module itself since we had those in ZD), AND half her skills AND she takes a crippling blow to the head and or body (explaining the loss of levels/XP/extra HP)

And that intro credits cutscene was terrible and really shows the extent of her head injury, what with her going NORTH to head to the Forbidden WEST... >.<
