56 hours playtime without any issues at all?!?
How is it that all i read in here is "My game constantly crashes" or "Help, i have constant cutscene lags", but at the same time my game runs just flawlessly? Like... Quite literally.

I'm using a 6900XT, Definitely not "High End" Anymore.
And i'm playing at 1800p natively, max settings, no dlss, no fsr, no dynamic res, nothing.

Am i missing something, or is this genuinely the best port i've ever seen?

Edit: I'm aware of the fact that obviously bugs occur for the stupidest reasons, sometimes totally out of nowhere, but at this point i feel like i'm playing a different game.

Yeah, I'm a bit likewise. My current rig has an RTX 2060, Ryzen5 2600 and 32gb RAM. I'm not fooling myself that it will run HFW or any more current title. I have a new rig waiting to go with a Ryzen 7 5700x and 32gb of RAM. I was going to go for a 4060, but, could never find one and then a RTX 2080ti FE turned up and I went for that. I looked at test videos for HFW and found it performed very, very well at 1080p, more than I was expecting.

Most of the other games I like are older and would probably run on this rig, but, it's getting old and I don't want to push it anymore.

Well, I highly recommend the Deep Cool AK400 if you don't already have a nice CPU cooler, I picked it up on sale the other day and it dropped the temps on the 5700x by literally 20C, HFW is running at 56 C right now lol

I got a Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix, so hopefully I've got that covered. I have to move out of home before I can build the rig though. I've got no room here! Hoping to get somewhere sorted before the summer. Rent and Council Tax will take a lot of money, but, I have plenty of games in reserve for when I can't afford new ones.

If yer a PC gamer, part of your resume should be "understands PC can be tuned to play games well", "understands that messy, polluted, family PCs can be a headache while playing games", and knows the limits of their rig. If your poor gaming PC has finally reached a point where turning down resolution and dumming down the rest of the resource using aspects of a game finally does not solve your problem then as any good PC Gamer will realize its time for an Upgrade.

Oh definitely. I know this rig would struggle. I screwed the SSD big time by using a defrag program on it that 'claimed' it was safe. Was it heck! I used chkdsk to fix all the errors on it and it seems fine now, but, I'm not going to do anything on it that would stress any of the components now.

My stomach is full, therefor world hunger doesn't exist. How is everyone in Africa starving, when I can barely move from how fat I am? Super weird.

Survivor Bias. Those of us who never have issues are spending more time playing the game rather than looking at the forums, if at all. In fact if it wasn't for the recent update notes I still wouldn't have ever come to this forum...

on i9 82gb ddr 5 ram and RTX 4070 and no issues here all on max settings, a lot of these posts in my view are simply people attempting to play on maximum without the hardware to back it up *sigh* but eh no point trying to explain to some of these pepz its like talking to a brick wall.

60+ hours here and the only crash reports I occasionally get are when the game fails to close correctly, which is not an issue at all. The only real bug I really remember was when some parts of machines were invisible after loading a game...reloading fixed it.
Maverick81PL Apr 4, 2024 @ 4:49am
62h
no issue, no crash, smooth like butter
SimpliEcks Apr 4, 2024 @ 4:55am
108h here and no issues except some minor fps stutter in two cutscenes

Or maybe you're the outlier? 🤷‍♂️

Overall it runs great. I had some minor Bugs.
- DLSS and FG causes Texture Flickering on some NPC Clothing.
-FG seems to be not working in Cutscences.
-I had in 52 Hours 2 times after Fast Traveling a Black Screen with Sound still running and the only solution was to close the Game via Task MAnager and restart.

Patch 1.1 and a new Nvidia driver might help. Though whether Nixxes got to test the new driver before the patch went live remains to be seen. They need to pin a post in here when a patch goes live.

i mean why pin the patches in here ? when they already do so in a tidy correct thread under announcements https://steamcommunity.com/app/2420110/eventcomments/4355617880209230146/
