Inputs not responding properly (particularly gliding/grapple)

I've come across many instances where my glider won't open when I prompt it to, or I won't grapple despite pressing the key. This has led to me having to spend much more time than necessary backtracking to get back to where I was after failing a grapple and falling into the water below.

I'm having this problem too. Grapple works for me but gliding never works. I tried with both keyboard and controller with no luck. With and without auto glider enabled. I press space bar when in air or X with xbox controller. Shouldn't be more complicated then that. As a result I can't do some of the trails.
