Yes disabled or enabled makes no difference for me, no fps loss or gain. People who using nvidia experience probably have no knowledge about it, next time don't let app "optimize" your games based on your "rig"

I tweak my games by myself, I won't trust some app to optimize my games, i'm using it because sometimes I need filters or info that they released new drivers for my gpu.

you can't notice a 1-2fps increase! because that is literally all you get but my statement is true, anything extra running in background or applying an overlay will increase CPU usage and lower fps by literally 1-2fps. Saying it makes NO difference is incorrect, even performance monitors lower fps due to it polling the hardware. But like I say you aren't going to notice it unless you are cpu bound already.

That's why I said to get rid of GFE because if you're using it to tweak your games and nothing else then its better off gone and do it yourself but if you use it for filters then you already know your fps is going to take a little hit.

The game needs more than 8GB of Vram on Very high settings, even at 1080p (just tested myself). That's definitely something to consider.

The 5600X is more than enough for this game and being a 6 cores CPU is not a problem.

Remove Geforce Experience from your PC or, if you want to keep it, do not use the "optimised settings" thing.

I'm 12 hours into the game myself and I monitor everything all the time, I can't confirm that there is memory leak issue. Vram usage is coherent on my end and does not increase over time.

Is hgas aktive and is the game installed on an m.2 ssd? if not it will probably load more textures into vram. as long if i dont know his gpu utilisation its an cpu limit. you also should compile the shaders first. exspecialy if you have only 6 core. 5 cores for the game. wait 30min in the menu until the cpu goes near idle. my playtime is near 25h and i also monitor everything and never exceed 40% vram with max settings.

My ultimate solution for 3070 owner include me:

Turn off any feature:
- off DLSS
- off Anti-Aliasing
- off Reflex
- off Dynamic resolution

Other:
- Run game in 1920 x 1080 resolution
- Use medium preset
- Use normal full screen

Must set when in launcher, or title screen. Ah, one more thing. Turn off nvidia program in below right corner of your screen.

Fps stable 60-70
If use high preset, will go 50 ish

This setting i used for live streaming
Really help maintaining fps and obs
No more fps drop when cutscene run

If I remember right 2 of those cores are reserved for system use (OS) so still essentially gaming on a 6-core cpu.

The official specs list 3600x as recommended and that's a 6-core CPU, so...

Friend have same RTX 3070/I7 10700K/32GB and play with settings "High", at 60fps at 3200x1800 custom resolution (on 4K monitor) with DLSS set to "Performance" (Surprisingly very good image quality). I set his settings to "High" (I'm the "setting guys" for all his games) and when the "VRAM BUG" hit him, we just turn Texture to "Medium" and it's instant-fix, back to 60fps. After a while, we can turn Texture back to High, until the bug is back (few minutes or dozens of minutes later). Another way to fix it: as soon as bug occur, exit the game and restart it, fixed.
Definitively a dirty RAM or VRAM problem (leak?).
Edit: So 1080p for such a beautiful game, with an RTX3070, is a no-go, 1800p is very good ;)

It needs more than 8gb vram even on medium settings. It uses 7gb vram on low.
My pc: R5 3600, 32gb ram, 6600xt, 1080p

This can't be right, I have a 3060 and a Ryzen 5 3500X and I run with everything on High or above except Level of Detail (Medium) and DLSS and it never falls below the set target of 75 FPS and looks gorgeous.

Which Windows do you got? Have you turned off all mandatory Windows bloatware (e.g. GameBar)?

Don't talk nonsense
Why nonsense? Looking at my Radeon data after freshly loaing game, GPU mem utilization is 10GB and it will go higher over time (15 min later its 11GB). And I dont even get everything maxed.

8GB can work, but you need freshly rebooted PC, nothing else running in background and probably lower settings (Not like 3070 can handle maxed game with good FPS).

For me, settings on high 3440x1440 keep 82 FPS on average but thats with 7900xtx. (though I have few things running in background which probably cost me few FPS.

3070 had 8GB vram and 3060 has 12GB. Fps will tank if the game runs out of vram and starts using pagefile.

Ahoj, Resolution? RAM? Ingame setting? Dont use Nvidia optimize setting!!

no clue but when i use fsr instead DLL and set FSR to high my fps near 65 fps in all areas no fake or joke...settings all in High but some i did turn of maybe u work on your settings....try geforce experience and then work self for the rest whil geforce set most to low..not funny
iamnid Mar 25, 2024 @ 8:47am
Make sure you change it from "full screen" to "exclusive full screen." This helped a lot for me.
CuddleBear Mar 25, 2024 @ 8:48am
i see people say that you should play at 1080p without DLSS with a 3070? no! thats not the case at all! The Sinner is Reflex. Its bugged somehow.
Just Turn off reflex and turn on Dynamic Res and set it to 60 with DLSS and you should be good to go! Playing at 4K this way and have 100x better experience with Reflex off!
Don't use FSR, don't go down in res. Just use the Dynamic Res and you are good to go! Note that it cant keep a 100% stable 60fps at that, but the drops are far less extreme and is quite playable, but hovers around 58fps most of the time.
The game was unplayable for me on my 3070 untill i figured that setting out.
And yeah... towns will be heavy 100%
