They'll be an option in whatever software you use to control your lighting.

No mate the game has no settings to mess around with the rgb, some games do but this does not and still turns them off. And no you do not have to go into your main program to change this, its the game doing it.

To me it seems like they were going to put this feature in as some games do so when there is danger and such it changes the rgb's but then chose not to put it in for release and somehow even though it is not accessible something is still messing with the rgb's.

They meant something like SignalRGB or whatever you use to set your RGB and not the game settings.

Yeah i know that mate but the game should not be turning off my rgb's no matter what, it is something funky with the game that is doing it.

sounds like it's doing you a favor

First it would help to know what RGB hardware you have and the software to drive it.

I have a logitech keyboard and the software has profiles for games and will change the lights according to the profile or lock it to the "desktop" profile and the lights stay the same no matter what I play unless the game uses the rgb

Many games have settings in the game to control the rgb, in this case the rgb lighting would flash when say you are shooting or being chased and what not, with a normal game without this your rgb lighting stays the same as it is normally in desktop mode, this game has no rgb control so it should not be able to do anything to the rgb lighting Full Stop regardless of what rgb software i have, the game has not had a profile made for it or does it have permissions to mess with the lighting, it has no program exclusivity to do it LOL.

The game should not be touching your RGB but when this sorta weird stuff happens it best to start doing all the checks. Update all your drivers. Run any diagnostic tests you can(Hard drives, memory, power supply, your motherboard may have fault checking software as well). Odd electrical issue, like your RGB shutting off during a game can be several things

LOL did you not read what I put? I already said the software has profiles and will switch profiles when a game is loaded for example on my KB it's a gradient from red to green from left to right and is static, when I load a game it switches to that games profile and because I haven't set the profile up it defaults the KB lighting to logitech blue solid color! if I lock it to desktop profile then it doesn't change!

Also note that my software updates by itself and the profiles are preloaded in the software as it "scans" for games. the game hasn't made the profile the LGHUB software did because it saw I had that game and created a profile for it!

can't believe I've had to explain that TWICE!

Well firstly, Name calling? grow up!
2nd at no point did you mention the hardware or software like I stated!
3rd YOU HAVE NOT EXPLAINED ANYTHING TWICE!
So for being a ♥♥♥♥ for no reason I hope it doesn't get sorted! I would have been willing to look into it and try and help but ♥♥♥♥ ya and ya problem bye!

Just because "program a" crashes or encounters a bug while using "program b" does not necessarily mean the issue is with "program b." Software conflicts can be tricky and sometimes you may find that a third program is to blame even if it is seemingly unrelated.

I had an issue a while back, nearly a year ago now. USB devices would randomly disconnect and immediately reconnect. Which also effected my BT for whatever the reason, forcing me to power cycle my BT gamepad each time. I spent hours tracking it down. Come to find out that my software conflict was a result of using wallpaper engine while using icue. I stopped using wallpaper engine an my problem ceased immediately. The integration between these two programs where causing havoc with USB services in windows causing frequent device dropouts. I never really looked to far into it once the problem was cleared up. I just stopped using the software, is a live wallpaper really necessary?

Windows 11 has a feature update that now lets applications control lighting on specific devices. Make sure that's turned off as Microsoft opts-in by default when the update is applied. (I'm not at my gaming workstation where the option is present. I don't know where to locate it.)

The reason you're being repeatedly asked what software you use to control your RGB is because some of those programs are capable of automatically configuring or assigning a profile when it detects specific games being run. It does not need the game itself to have its own RGB settings which you seem to be going off about.

Can confirm I use Asus armoury crate, as much as I loath this program, has game integration on by default.

I am on windows 10, skipped out on windows 11 due to all the nightmare problems it had with gaming in general, it's defo icue being a plum as there is no other profiles in there apart from the flat out general profile which is just all set to blue but running this game shuts off the lights to my water cooler fans and pump, and my mobo lights and every other fan light, my keyboard and mouse however stay on but they have nothing to do with icue.

To be honest i am gonna uninstall it as i had this problem ages ago and it seemed that icue had faults with their mural settings and this was happening to alot of people at that time and it took them about a year to update it, they are absolutely useless.
