Performance Issues (RTX 3070 laptop)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz
Installed RAM: 24.0 GB (19.9 GB usable)
Device ID: 8A95BD6F-3910-4CD9-8A29-616489F3E5F4
Product ID: 00342-21980-86624-AAOEM
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I'm at the beginning of the game, and there are some places where no matter how much I tweak the graphics settings to make them lower (with DLSS), I can't get more than 40-ish fps. The game has the potential to look amazing, but even with the graphics set to medium/high, there are parts where the frame rate drops to just 20 fps, which doesn't seem right.

My computer is actually better than what's recommended for the game, so I didn't expect to have these issues. But honestly, I never thought I'd have to play with the settings on low just to make it run (not even) smoothly.

I'm curious what performances people have with a similar configuration...

Im running it on GTX 1070 and a virtualized i5 10500 and get 50-60FPS. Definitely sounds like an issue with your system. Drivers updated, temperatures checked?

Which is close to what minimum specs indicated. I dont see an issue here.

My ultimate solution for 3070 owner include me:

Turn off any feature:
- off DLSS
- off Anti-Aliasing
- off Reflex
- off Dynamic resolution

Other:
- Run game in 1920 x 1080 resolution
- Use medium preset
- Use normal full screen

Must set when in launcher, or title screen. Ah, one more thing. Turn off nvidia program in below right corner of your screen.

Fps stable 60-70
If use high preset, will go 50 ish

This setting i used for live streaming
Really help maintaining fps and obs
No more fps drop when cutscene run

Mostly this. I'm using a 3070 laptop myself on Linux. Running the medium preset but with textures turned up to high. Not sure if it's a bug, but using dynamic resolution actually increased my VRAM usage to the point it would stutter out in cut scenes. DLSS nets basically no performance increase to be worth the blurring, though TAA can help round things out a little on the edges.

Note: Due to NVidia's stupid naming schemes simply having a 3070 mobile won't guarantee the same level as the next 3070 mobile. Mine's a 115w version that boosts to 130w. There are some better, but many worse.

Now I just need to somehow fix the audio crackling that happens constantly XD

Your GPU is 10% slower then a 1070 so I wouldnt really say you have a good GPU.

I'm using the same setup as you (3070 laptop with linux), but i cant even make it past the EXTREMELY laggy playstation startup video before the game crashes and asks me to send a crash report. Which proton version do you use and any launch options?

I will state, in case that is not obvious, but a 3070 Laptop is not the same as a 3070 Desktop. Laptop variants are well below the desktop counterparts in regards to performance.
I know this is the WORST site to show this but:
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3070-Laptop-vs-Nvidia-RTX-3070/m1445007vs4083

If you want a more technical view here:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3070-mobile.c3712

However even the 3070 Mobile version is equivalent to a Desktop 2080 Super. So you should defo get a lot more perf than this!

Seing that you also have a Radeo iGPU, make sure the game is running on the dGPU (RTX 3070) and not the integrated Radeon GPU ^_^
