IMO KBM is much better.
However, the current KBM key mapping is giving some people fits, and that is justified criticism. My personal approach is to tough it out w/ KBM and wait for some game fixes that improve the mapping.
(For example, being able to use TAB for the Weapon Wheel, capturing the mouse inside the Weapon Wheel, and making number keys remember the last-selected ammo type on each weapon. And I will probably complain about Strong Attack being on G, if I ever try to level up my melee game, which I bypassed on PS5 because controller suxor. IMO.)
