What happened to Aloy's face?
What the hell happened to Aloy's face? Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it looks bad; the graphics are beautiful. But there are moments when Aloy's face seems a bit off to me. It doesn't look like it did in the first game – almost like it's swollen, I don't know. Maybe it's because I just finished playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I going crazy?

And I'm pretty sure 99% of incel cis white male (yeah I'm being woke on purpose) who shame Aloy never scored a girl remotely as cute as her.
That was very specific. Are you sure you're okay?

Her face was absolutely all right in first game. It was obviously not fanservice tier like Stellar Blade characters and it was fine, it didn't have to be.

Design change was just pandering to woke community that escalated in +2020 and onwards. It is not a coincidence what happened to MJ face in SM2 compared to the original game. It happened in similar time frame for the same reasons.

That explains a lot because it doesn't make sense for the face to have gotten fat while the rest of the body remains slim, especially for a hunter-gatherer. I saw in the comments that only six months passed between the games, while Aloy urgently needs sunscreen. Valr seems to be doing just fine.

No she looks older of course. Its still pretty.

Nah, she looks red and puffy, I don't know why it's controversial to say this. You'd think she'd be gaunt, running and scrounging for food like the first one, but for some reason she appears like an alcoholic middle-aged mom.

And this is precisely what a lot of developers are forgetting in recent years. Instead of fully focusing on games being fun and fun alone, they always need to also add some politics or agenda to it.

lol..Politics are a part of life and a part of every story. Maybe you should find a different hobby. Or stick to Minecraft if all you can handle is simple kids stuff. . There is no agenda in a story. Its just a story. Read a book once in awhile.. You people with this kind of comments make me laugh so hard. SO sheltered from life.

There is a big difference between game having its own politics as part of the story and applying real-world politics to it so the twitter mob won't cry that "X is too pretty" or "there is not enough of Y" or "Z being a villain instead of X"

This world does not even exist in real life..As well as almost every game in existence. No the difference is you cannot handle anything that does not agree with your sheltered values. OMG theres a lesbian in the game. Ban it .Burn it.. I am so offended. Thats what you guys are like. These are stories told by a writer to be interesting. Some of them are adult stories and of course politics of that world will be part of it. Not our world the stories world. Sorry you cannot handle that. Baldurs Gate 3 got this kind of flack. Where does Baldurs Gate exist in the real world exactly.

It's the hair style. I noticed when she was wearing the headpiece given to her by the Sun King that she looked a lot better. So always wear a head piece so she doesn't look so much like a pinhead (the genetic condition, not the Hellraiser guy).
